About Our Executive Director

Lee Song

Lee Song serves as Executive Director of the Asian American Association of Boston (AAAB) and is a community leader with extensive experience in nonprofit operations, public programming, and cross-sector organization building.

Since 2016, Lee has founded and led multiple education- and service-oriented organizations across the fields of international education exchange, education consulting, and community-based services. Through this work, he has collaborated with multiple colleges and universities across the Greater Boston area on educational programs and experiential learning initiatives. His experience navigating diverse regulatory and cultural environments has built a strong foundation in organizational governance, risk management, and cross-sector coordination that supports his nonprofit leadership.

In 2016, he founded Gallop Global Inc., operating in the international education exchange and educational travel sector, with a focus on U.S.–Asia learning programs and cross-cultural education initiatives.
In 2019, he established Gallop Education Inc., an education consulting and academic planning organization supporting long-term educational development and access to public education resources.
In 2020, he founded Mr. Song Inc., a community-based supply chain and consumer services organization exploring sustainable and compliant regional service models.

Lee’s involvement with AAAB began in 2018, when he served as Event Director of the 8th Boston Asian American Day, leading the planning and execution of a large-scale public cultural event attended by over 10,000 community members and recognized by municipal partners and local media.

He subsequently assumed senior operational and governance responsibilities within AAAB, overseeing organizational compliance, financial stewardship, public programs, and partnerships with city and state agencies, and has received multiple commendations from municipal partners and internal AAAB leadership for his contributions.

Lee graduated from Boston College with a degree in Business, where his academic training emphasized strategic leadership, organizational management, and professional communication—providing a strong analytical foundation for his nonprofit leadership and operational work.

As Executive Director, Lee is responsible for AAAB’s day-to-day operations, organizational governance, program execution, and external partnerships, and is committed to strengthening AAAB as a transparent, inclusive, and trusted community institution serving Asian American communities across Greater Boston.
