Organized jointly by the Asian American Association of Boston (AAAB) and the World Qipao United Association Boston Chapter (WQUA Boston Chapter), Cheongsam in the City brings the traditional cheongsam into the public streetscape of the city. Participants wear cheongsams as they walk through urban neighborhoods, expressing the cultural confidence and collective memory passed down through generations within the Asian American community.
由亞美會（Asian American Association of Boston，AAAB）與世界旗袍聯合會波士頓分會（World Qipao United Association Boston Chapter，WQUA Boston Chapter）聯合舉辦的「城市裡的旗袍（Cheongsam in the City）」活動，旨在將傳統旗袍文化帶入城市公共街區空間。活動中，參與者身著旗袍行走於城市街道，在流動的城市景觀中展現亞裔社區世代相傳的文化自信與集體記憶。
Centered in Chinatown as its cultural setting, the event not only increases the visibility of community culture but also strengthens residents’ sense of local cultural identity. By presenting cultural expression in open public spaces, the program fosters cross-cultural exchange and mutual understanding, while highlighting Chinatown’s enduring vitality and public value as a significant cultural community within the city.
本活動以唐人街為文化背景，不僅提升了社區文化的可見度，也進一步強化居民對在地文化身份的認同感。透過在開放公共空間中的文化呈現，項目促進不同族群之間的交流與理解，彰顯唐人街作為城市重要文化社區所具備的持續生命力與公共價值。
